World is the fully on-chain prediction market on Solana, and right now it sits in the exact window this site exists to catch: a 1,000,000+ user waitlist, a free-money program that is paused with a public promise to resume, and no token announced.

What it is. World launched inside Phantom and opened to its 1M+ waitlisted users on September 9, 2026 at the standalone site. Positions, settlement and redemptions happen fully on-chain, settled in CASH (Phantom's dollar-backed stablecoin), with SOL and USDC also supported, and Chainlink as the primary oracle. The market list is already broad: La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, NFL, US Open, politics, finance, economics, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and rapid Up or Down contracts on BTC, SOL, ETH and HYPE at 5 and 15 minute resolutions. The X account (@world_xyz, 144.1K followers) describes it plainly as the Solana prediction market.

The Stimmies, which is the headline. World hands out free USDC, branded "stimmies", with no deposit needed - reportedly gated on having a good X account, which makes your social reputation the qualifying asset rather than your bankroll. As of today the banner on world.xyz reads, verbatim: "Stimmies are paused until rollout is complete, will resume shortly. Communications will be made from @world_xyz on X." That is not a rumour, it is the team's own notice, and it is the reason to be registered and ready before they switch back on. When free money resumes, it goes to people who already have accounts, not people who start signing up that day.

The airdrop case. No token has been announced, so a direct World airdrop is speculative - but the profile is about as strong as tokenless prospects come: a million-user waitlist, Phantom-scale distribution, real on-chain volume, Chainlink infrastructure, and a team already comfortable paying users in real dollars. Platforms that hand out free USDC before a token are building exactly the participation record a distribution is later computed from. Why early actually means something here. Look at the volumes: the top trending market was doing $9.81K, US Open around $19.77K, the 5-minute BTC market $4.4K. Against a million-user waitlist, those numbers are tiny - which means any volume-weighted or activity-weighted scoring right now counts against a nearly empty field. That asymmetry closes fast once the waitlist converts.

A warning worth more than the alpha. A Solana token branded "world.xyz (WORLD)" is listed on wallet trackers, with a contract address ending in pump - the signature of a pump.fun launch. World has not announced a token. Treat anything trading under that name as unaffiliated and unverified, and do not buy it expecting an airdrop.
