What is SmartX?
SmartX calls itself "the social trading app for memes, perps, stocks and prediction markets ." The idea is to fix copy trading, which its own blog argues fails on trust, relevance and execution:
- Verified traders. Every profile's track record comes from real positions and PnL. The tagline is "Follow the best. Not the loudest."
- Square. A social feed where posts are tied to the trader's actual position, so an opinion comes with its entry price and PnL attached.
- Matched signals. The feed is shaped by how you trade, so you see traders and markets that fit your style.
- One-tap trades. Copy a position in USDC in one tap.
- Creator income. Traders who post and grow a following can earn from it.
The homepage lists YZi Labs as a backer. SmartX has not published its team or a funding amount. One airdrop tracker reports a $500,000 investment through YZi Labs' EASY Residency and support for Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and Solana; I could not confirm either from a primary source, so treat them as reported.
Is the SmartX airdrop confirmed?
No. SmartX has not announced a token or a token airdrop. What it has announced is a waitlist with real rewards and a Contribution System: in its words, your invites, rank and early participation "will become your first Contribution Record on SmartX." That is a record of early contribution, not a token promise. YZi Labs backing, a consumer trading app and a recorded early-user list are the reasons it is on my radar.
How the SmartX waitlist works

Ranking: by Boost, and when Boost is equal, the earlier verification wins. Ranks move in real time and are only final after SmartX re-checks all invites at the end, removing bots, duplicates and abnormal patterns.

The Community Reward Pool starts at 2,000 USDT and grows with qualified users: 3,000 at 10,000 users, 5,000 at 25,000, 7,000 at 35,000 and 10,000 USDT at 50,000+. The top 100 also get their X handle recorded on-chain in the Genesis ranking and priority for the ambassador program. All USDT rewards are claimed inside the SmartX app, with timing announced before launch.
Trackers report that the first round's ranks froze in early October and a second round is live; I could not confirm round dates on SmartX's own pages, so check the waitlist page for the current state.

How much does it cost?
Nothing. The waitlist asks for a test, an X post and verification. There is no wallet connection, deposit or payment. The only cost is your time and a public post on your X account.
Is SmartX safe?
Joining is low risk because nothing financial is involved. The unknowns: the team and funding amount are not published, the app is not live, and copy trading carries real risk once it is (you can lose money following someone else's position).
