Impermanent loss

Impermanent loss is the value you lose as a liquidity provider compared with simply holding, when the prices of the pooled tokens move apart.

Why it matters: it can outweigh the points and fees you earn as an LP, especially in volatile pairs. Stablecoin pairs carry much less of it.
