Rug pull

A rug pull is when a project's creators drain liquidity or abandon it after taking users' money.

Why it matters: anonymous teams, unlocked liquidity and pressure to deposit fast are warning signs. A shutdown is not always a rug: some teams wind down and refund users, as Dango did.
