What to Build on Metric: Curated Pools for Founders
Metric's curated tokenized-stock pools have real volume and no tooling. Curator dashboards, LP alert bots and APR trackers founders could ship now.
What I'd Build on Metric: Curated Pools Are a Founder Opportunity
Every Metric pool has a name next to it. A curator.
Most people scroll past that column. I stopped on it. Because a curated market means someone is doing a job, and where there is a job in crypto, there is a product.
Quick context
Metric is a DEX for tokenized stocks and crypto at app.metric.xyz. The exchange went live on BNB Chain on October 14, 2026 and runs on Robinhood Chain and Ethereum too. Pools are mostly bStocks against USDT: NVDAB, QQQB, AAPLB, SKHYB, TSLAB and more. Prices are anchored to outside oracles (Chainlink Data Streams, per launch coverage). Coverage of the launch also mentions self-deployed pools, so curating may not stay a closed club.
As of October 2026 there is no Metric token and no points program. That is good news for builders. The tooling layer is empty.
On October 23, 2026 the SKHYB-USDT pool alone did $15.95M in 24h volume on $1.40M TVL . USDC-USDT did $16.09M. That is real flow, and nobody is building around it yet.
Idea 1: the curator dashboard
If you curate pools, or want to, you need to see your book. Volume, fees, TVL, APR trend, how often your feed goes down, how often you pause. Make a public scorecard for every curator. LPs would use it to choose who to trust. Curators would use it to prove they are good.
That is a classic "rate the operators" product. It works because trust is the scarce thing.
Idea 2: the LP alert bot
Some pools show "Feed down" or "Paused". An LP who is asleep does not know. Build a Telegram or WhatsApp bot: you tell it which pools you are in, it pings you when status changes or APR drops under your floor. Charge a small monthly fee, or keep it free and grow a list.
Simple to build. Useful on day one.
Idea 3: the APR history page
Metric shows today's APR. Nobody shows last week's. An APR that was 357% yesterday means nothing without the trend. Scrape it daily, chart it, rank pools by stability, not by the loudest number. That is the page I would bookmark.
Idea 4: the stock-yield aggregator
Tokenized stocks now earn in a few places. Metric LP fees. Vaults like TxFlow's for the USDC side. Pendle -style plays on xStocks, which we cover in our xStocks guide . Robinhood Chain apps like Arcus and Rialto . Build one screen that answers: "I hold NVDA exposure, where can it earn the most today?" That is a real question with no good answer yet.
Idea 5: the rebalancing bot
Impermanent loss is the pain of every stock LP. A bot that watches your position and suggests (or performs, if you trust it) a rebalance when the stock moves past a threshold would save people money. Start with suggestions only. Automation that moves money while you sleep is standing risk.
Why build here, now
- New venue, real volume, empty tool layer.
- No token yet, so being the tool everyone uses is a strong position if incentives arrive.
- Stock tokens are crossing from finance people into crypto people. Both need simple dashboards.
My one line on it: the money is not only in the pool, it is in the screen people check before they enter it.
How to actually ship it
You do not need a team. A dashboard or alert bot is a weekend if you have the right setup. That is what Deployr is for. Describe the tool, get it running, put it in front of LPs.
If you want the bigger founder picture, how to turn a small tool into a company, read ceoism . It is where I write about going from builder to operator.
What I'd check first
- Read Metric's docs on curators and self-deployed pools before promising anything to users.
- Respect the data. Pull public pool data, do not hammer endpoints.
- Do not hold user funds unless you know exactly what you are doing.
- bStocks are not offered to US persons. Your users need to know that.
Farm while you build
Building on a venue and using it go together. LP a small amount yourself through so you see what users see. The full farming walkthrough is in the Metric airdrop guide . And if you want USDC yield next to it, the TxFlow vault is the pair I show in my video.
Then go build the screen.
Developer airdrops reward builders. Ship a real app and contract with Deployr, or cross over to ceoism, evolve into a founder, and go after grants and VC funding. Can't build it yourself? Deployr can build it for you.
