Solana Frontier Traders Guide 2026: Season 1, Crates and the Phoenix Campaigns
Most "airdrop" programs pay you in a token that might never exist. Frontier pays in dollars on Solana, and it is run by the Solana Foundation. The catch is that only some of your trading counts, and the dates on its own pages do not all agree.
Short answer: as of October 27, 2026, Frontier Traders Season 1 is live with "$1M+ in prizes", paid in a USD stablecoin on Solana. Under its campaign terms it runs September 22, 2026, 12:00 UTC to November 11, 2026, 12:00 UTC, with a Grand Final in London on November 14. What is Solana Frontier Traders?
Frontier Traders is a rewards, VIP-rebate and competition program for on-chain traders across Solana. The Solana Foundation introduced it on June 17, 2026. Its terms name the Solana Foundation as the sponsor "under its onchain markets program", the footer credits the Foundation as core community contributor, and the leaderboards and crates run on Torque. Its X account is @joinfrontier.
It launched with 16 founding venues: Jupiter, Phoenix, Raydium, Backpack Securities, Orca, Byreal, Phantom, Fomo, Titan, DFlow, Pump.fun, Axiom, Meteora, Ondo, xStocks and OKX DEX. Membership is open to anyone. On top of the base program sit VIP taker rebates, measured on a rolling 30-day window and reviewed on the 1st of each month: VIP1 starts at $10M of 30-day volume for a 0.001% monthly rebate and VIP5 sits at $5B to $10B with $100M of open interest for 0.005%. Those tiers are for very large traders. For everyone else, the action is in the campaigns and Season 1.
Is there a Frontier airdrop?
No. Frontier has no token and no points, and nothing in its terms, its season page or the Solana Foundation's launch post suggests one. Treat it as what it is: a cash rewards program. That is a good thing. You know exactly what you are playing for, and payouts are in a dollar stablecoin. Rewards are subject to KYC and team review.
How Season 1 works
Eligible volume: perpetual futures on Phoenix and Solflare, across all their markets, counted from when you register for the campaign. Spot trading does not count.
Grand Prize: US$250,000 in a USD stablecoin on Solana, or a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The winner has 14 days to choose; cash is the default.
Leaderboards:
- Season PnL and Season Volume: top 50 each, from a $50K pool each.
- Weekly PnL and Weekly Volume: top 10 each, from a $10K pool each.

The invite page I use says something slightly different for newcomers: "Earn up to $100 on your first crate. Trade $5K in volume to unlock." Expect the exact numbers to shift and read the crate on screen before you plan.
Grand Final: eight finalist seats. Three went to live-event winners (Belgrade, Seoul and Singapore), and the rest go to Best Season PnL, the Season Volume Champion, one public-vote Wildcard and two seats still listed as TBA. Weekly results do not award seats.
The live Phoenix campaign: Equities Earnings Blitz II
Frontier also runs short campaigns with partner venues. The live one is with Phoenix:
- Prize: $25,000, split between a Volume and a PnL leaderboard.
- What counts: taker trades on equity perps only: HOOD, GOOGL, MSFT, AMZN, COIN, INTC, MSTR, SNDK and LLY.
- Ends: November 2, 2026, 12:00 PM EST. Claims run November 16 to December 16.
- Volume payouts: $1,000 for first, $500 for second, $250 each for third to fifth, down to $75 each for ranks 31 to 57.
- Fine print: only signed-up, verified wallets are ranked.

How to farm Frontier Traders (step-by-step)
How much does it cost?
Signing up is free and Solana gas is cents. The cost is trading fees and spread on the volume you generate, plus funding on held positions. Reaching the $10K Starter crate on a hedged book costs a small amount in fees; chasing leaderboards takes far more volume and real risk. What I would do with $200: one hedged position on Phoenix, enough volume for the first crate, nothing more.
Is Frontier Traders safe and legit?
The sponsor is the Solana Foundation and the infrastructure is Torque, so the program itself is legitimate. The risks are yours: leverage and liquidation, chasing volume that costs more in fees than any crate returns, KYC requirements, and inconsistent dates across Frontier's own pages (the terms say November 11 and 14; the season page says November 7; the homepage lists the final on November 15). Jurisdictions on the restricted list, including Hong Kong, cannot claim. Use only frontiertraders.com and phoenix.trade, and never share a seed phrase .
