Afraid YT decay will eat your points? Price it before you buy it.

YT decay is not a trap, it is a price. A Pendle yield token carries the yield and the points of its underlying until maturity, then it is worth zero. So the real question is simple: how much decay are you paying for each point, and is today a cheap day to pay it? That can be measured.

Check one YT's grade before you buy

Open Bandit, find the YT you are eyeing and read two numbers: where its implied APY sits in its own 90-day range, and its cost per 1,000 points. Lower cost is cheaper; near the 90-day top is a pricey entry.

Grade every YT against its own 90 days

See the decay you pay per point before you buy, graded A to D.

Bandit scores each Pendle YT from A to D against its own last 90 days: price versus range, room to run, time left and pool size. For points farmers it shows the expected decay to maturity divided by the points earned, as a cost per 1,000 points. A Free label means the underlying yield should cover the YT cost if rates hold. It is data, not advice.

A decay alarm for your YT positions

A bot that pings you when cost per point jumps stops the slow bleed.

A small bot that watches your YTs and pings you when cost per point jumps or a market nears maturity would stop the slow bleed most farmers never notice. Build it, or have us build it.

Skip these. Skip buying a YT in its last days for points alone. With little time left, decay is steep and few points remain.

Questions

What is YT decay on Pendle?

A yield token (YT) receives the yield and points of its underlying until maturity, and is worth zero after. Its price falls toward zero over time, which is the decay. See our glossary entry on yield tokens.

How do I know if a YT is cheap?

Compare its implied APY with its own 90-day range and work out the cost per 1,000 points. Bandit shows both for Pendle YTs.

Can I lose all my money buying YT?

Yes. If the yield and points you collect are worth less than what you paid, you lose the difference, and at maturity the YT is worth zero. Only use a slice you can lose.
