As of October 27, 2026: Tria is a self-custodial crypto neobank: a Visa card, perps and spot trading, Earn vaults and a chain-abstracted wallet in one app. The TRIA token is already live (launched February 3, 2026, 10 billion supply, 41.04% to the community), so this is not a first-airdrop play. Tria raised $12M in pre-seed and strategic funding (announced October 14, 2025) with P2 Ventures and Aptos, plus executives from Polygon, the Ethereum Foundation and Wintermute. Founders: Vijit Katta and Parth Bhalla. Its site claims 500K+ users.
Why hunters are watching
- Season 3 points: earned from card spend, trading, referrals and first-time product actions. Activity from May 6 counted retroactively. Points unlock Mystery Boxes, opened at the end of each month from August 31.
- Trading counts: trades routed through Tria's Hyperliquid and Decibel integrations earn Season 3 points.
- Season history: Season 1 claims opened at TGE , and Season 2 XP ran February 1 to May 5, 2026, with rewards paid in-app in May.
The mechanics that matter
- Card: Visa, issued by Nimbus, LLC (Delaware) under Tria's international terms. Lite (virtual), Pro (plastic) and Max (metal). Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported. Spend in 150+ countries, funded from 1,000+ tokens that convert at the moment you pay.
- Cashback (terms from June 1, 2026): 1.5% Virtual up to $100 a month of spend, 4.5% Signature up to $1,000, 6% Premium up to $2,000, then 0.5% to 1%. Paid in USDC or USDT. Staking badges add up to +2%.
- Fees (international terms): annual $25 virtual, $109 plastic, $250 metal; FX up to 3%; ATM up to $2 plus 3%. Pricing varies by region, so check the app before you pay.
- KYC : ID and a selfie, 18+, and you must be in the country you select. Available in most countries; US citizens are excluded by its terms; check the app at sign-up.
How to position
Sign up on Tria, start on the cheapest card, pass KYC and move spending you already do onto it. Route some of your Hyperliquid trading through Tria so one position counts twice. Upgrade only if the cashback cap pays for the fee. Do not plan to buy crypto with it: the terms class crypto purchases as cash-like (limited at the issuer's discretion) and exclude them from cashback. Compare: TUYO for a pre-token card, XPlace for a Solana credit card.
My take: "Post-TGE, the card has to earn its keep on cashback. The points are the upside."
Risk: TRIA trades well below its high, Season 3 rewards are not fixed, and cashback can take up to 12 months to pay. Tria never DMs users. Research, not financial advice.
